Connecting and Collaborating Event, Monday 15 November 2021, 2.00-4.00pm, Online

This event was a chance to hear from researchers currently working across disciplines of bioscience and population health science and to meet colleagues.

The event included flash presentations from researchers across career stages from the Faculty of Health Sciences (Population Health Sciences and Translational Health Sciences) and the Faculty of Life Sciences (School of Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience) showcasing their current interdisciplinary projects and their interactions with the EBI Research Strand. There were opportunities to discuss the help that’s on offer from the Strand, how best to interact with us and possibilities at different career stages. We also discussed longevity and sustainability of the Strand. We ended with a chance for questions and discussion with Emma Vincent, Chrissy Hammond (Strand Co-leads) and Ruth Mitchell (Strand SRA).

Strand Launch Event, Thursday 29 April 2021

Emma Vincent and Chrissy Hammond (Strand co-leads) presented the scope and aims of the strand. Ruth Mitchell presented ideas on integrating biosciences and population health and how the strand can facilitate cross-disciplinary projects. There was an opportunity for attendees to define how they would like to engage with the Strand through questions and comments, informing and shaping discussions. Watch a recording of the event below or see the presentation slides from the event.
