Bristol Biochemistry visits Rednock School
20 March 2017
On Wednesday 15th March 2017, the School of Biochemistry was delighted to be involved in the Rednock School STEM day. During 4 workshops, Year 10 pupils learned about DNA, performed their own DNA extraction from cheek cells and made unique DNA necklaces. The workshops were run by Caroline McKinnon, Laurence Maschio and Peter Smyth. Special thanks go to James, sixth form student at Rednock, for his help - we hope to see you in our department soon!
The School of Biochemistry is looking forward to forging a strong link between the University and Rednock School to further inspire their future scientists.
