Pint of Science 2017

12 April 2017

Pint of Science is an international festival of science which brings conversations with researchers about the latest cutting edge science to the pub. Since it was founded in 2012, Pint of Science has grown massively and now takes place across 27 UK cities annually.

This year, the Pint of Science festival in Bristol is expanding to include Creative Reactions, a companion to Pint of Science which explores the relationship between art and science. Following on from the success of Creative Reactions in Cambridge and London, the project taps into the wells of artistic talent across the city of Bristol. Over the past months, 16 local artists have been collaborating with 6 Pint of Science speakers to create original art that reacts to the science under discussion.

Creative Reactions Bristol will culminate in an exhibition of the artwork at The Greenbank pub, Easton, with a launch event on the 9th May. Admission to the exhibition is free, and the will run throughout the Pint of Science festival from the 10th - 21st May.
