Narratives of environmental risk

How do we talk about the risks of our environment? Who do we blame when things go wrong?

This AHRC-funded project sets out to deepen and develop understanding of how the concepts of fate, luck and fortune influence perceptions of agency, in different types of narratives concerned with environmental risk.

The project includes a series of workshops and a public lecture by Professor Jackson Lears on "The return of animal spirits".
