Migrant Dramaturgies - Trajectories of a Collaboration

Dr Szabolcs Musca and his host Dr Katja Krebs will be looking at a research collaboration situated within the expanding field of migration and performance.

Facilitated by the University's BBMDVP scheme, this collaboration on the Bristol-Lisbon axes looked at the work of migrant theatre-makers and more widely at migrant representation in the UK especially in the context of Brexit. The research stay formed the basis of a successful ideas exchange event in June 2020 (The Migrant Institute Project) led by Dr Krebs and Dr Musca, bringing together academic and creative industry partners such as MMB (Bristol), LSE, Mid Sweden University, Manchester University and LegalAliens Theatre (UK), to map, discuss and create new approaches via academic and artistic interventions.
