Arts Complex, 7 Woodland Road, BS8 1TB and Senate House Woodland Road entrance, BS8 1TH

Please join us for the second annual Bristol in Conversation event featuring an expert alumni panel of news journalists exploring the theme of Storytelling in Modern Media.

The panel will include Matty Edwards (BA 2016), reporter at The Bristol Cable and Helena Wadia (BA 2014), journalist and host of Media Storm podcast. Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Evelyn Welch MBE, will be in attendance to welcome guests and the panel will be hosted by Professor of Modern History, Simon Potter.

The panel event will take place on Friday 7 June 2024, from 6pm at the Arts Complex, followed by a reception at Senate House. The event will close by 9pm.

This event will focus on the state of the media today and its role in an increasingly fast-paced and interconnected world. Our panellists will discuss the importance of truth in reporting and how technology has impacted the way stories are told.

Following the panel, there will be an opportunity to meet with fellow alumni and make new connections over drinks and food at a reception at Senate House.

This is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with your Bristol alumni community and hear from some of the brilliant minds making a splash in journalism today. This event is free to attend. Please click the link to register and reserve your place
