Partnership Event: London Branch, Visit to Chartwell 2022

In conjunction with the Churchill Hall Association we, the London Branch, are again hosting a full day's visit to Chartwell; the family home in Kent of Sir Winston Churchill, Chancellor of the University of Bristol from 1929 to 1965. Churchill lived here from 1924 until the end of his life. The rooms and gardens remain much as they were when he lived here and contain personal memorabilia, books and family photographs.

The beautiful terraced gardens contain the lakes Sir Winston created and Lady Churchill's Rose Garden and many of Churchill's paintings can be seen in the garden studio.

Cost: The cost will include tea or coffee on arrival in the Mulberry Room at 10.30 am. A private talk on Churchill / Chartwell and a private lunch (soup and sandwiches) before touring the house and gardens. Vegetarian option are available.

There is ample car parking, which is free for National Trust members.

Non-National Trust Member: £47
