Coppicing at Lower Woods, South Glos

Little did we know it, but this was to be our last event
of the year before the Foot and Mouth outbreak took hold. In a
slight break from tradition we used the material from coppicing a
patch of woodland to do something useful. The logs were used to
build a Waterhouse Pile for invertibrates, whilst smaller
cuttings made a deer fence.
