Grassland Clearance
at Dolebury Warren, Avon

11 November 2001

Another unsupervised trip to the steep hill with the nasty hawthorn bushes. No problems with the fire this time and we incinerated everything that was cut down. We were told to leave the stumps high, honest! And Sue did her best to explain the difference between limestone grassland and limestone heathland.

A large swathe of hawthorn bushes waiting to be burned. Beth shows no mercy! Tony taunting the fire with a pitchfork.
