Scrub bashing

For the first time in ages we were set loose on a
nature reserve without anybody to look after us. Fortunately for the
environment, the weather and tenacious hawthorn bushes conspired against
us. Even so, we cleared a good area and were able to burn some of
the bushes the following weekend.
