Going out and making friends

Pippa Murray is a researcher.

She talked with young people with learning difficulties about the things they like to do when they are not at school or college.

She also asked them about their friends, family and support workers.

The young people told Pippa that:

They like to do the same things as other young people.
They like to spend time with their friends, even though they have some problems with getting friends.
They like to go to places where they make new friends.
They like to have young and energetic support workers.
They like support workers and others to listen to them.
