Bilingualism in Deaf Schools

The particular issue of two languages in Deaf schools is of great significance – partly because it has not been implemented before in a systematic way ie before 1980, and partly because of the modalities in which the languages are realised.

Therefore we need to think about the situations in which language occurs in the class, in the school, among the staff, with deaf people and with parents.  These interactions are extremely important.
