Lucinda, who is currently Secretary and Registrar at London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), will take up the role in March 2019.

At LSHTM, her key achievements include the transfer of two African Medical Research Council units to become part of the university, effectively doubling the size of the institution, and the reshaping of Student and Academic Services to improve student experience and success. 

She was also the Secretary to Council and was LSHTM's Chief Compliance Officer.  Prior to this she was the Director of Executive and Governance Services at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Lucinda read Music at Goldsmiths and holds both a BMus in Music and MMus in Historical Musicology. Lucinda is a member of various sector organisations, a member of Advance HE's Governor's advisory forum, and a non-executive Director of Mulberry University Technical College.

Professor Hugh Brady, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Bristol, said: "I am delighted that Lucinda has been appointed to the role of Registrar, bringing with her a wealth of experience.

"She joins us at an important time for the University, as we invest further in the educational experience and support offered to our students while also creating an exciting new campus at Temple Quarter and developing the heart of our Clifton campus to benefit staff and students for years to come."

Speaking about her appointment, Lucinda said: "I am really thrilled to be joining the University of Bristol as part of Professor Hugh Brady’s team.
