Vice-Chancellor Professor Hugh Brady hosted the event at the Wills Memorial Building, with support from Deputy Mayor Asher Craig. Representatives from scholarship funding bodies were present to celebrate their scholars.
The University works with over 30 sponsor organisations worldwide, supporting a range of studies across the faculties.
The Vice-Chancellor welcomed the scholars to the University and spoke of the importance of having an international community and his experience as an international student.
Deputy Mayor Asher Craig welcomed the scholars to Bristol and emphasised the city’s diversity and multiculturalism, adding she was encouraged by the growth of international students at the University.

What’s your favourite thing about Bristol?
My favourite things about Bristol have to be the people, the food and the art. It’s stunning, everything’s available for everyone, and I’m sure you’ll love it!
