Online learning opportunities

CUHK’s online certificate course on Climate Change and Health is now open for registration on a first-come-first-served basis. It is free of charge and the target audience is individuals studying (undergraduates or postgraduates) and/or working in health, policy, education and humanitarian sectors. Upon successful completion, participants are expected to:

  • Understand and discuss climate change impact on health in the context of public health
  • Understand key climate change events and existing studies, and their link to public health related actions
  • Analyze what has been and can be done to minimize health impacts of climate change from public heath perspectives: adaptation and mitigation
  • Comprehend recent research findings and policies in relation to climate change and health

There are also two related online courses on offer: “Public Health Principles in Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response” and “Research Methodology for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response” for anyone would like to gain deeper knowledge in disaster management.

Please note that all of these course are offered by the Collaborating Centre for Oxford University and CUHK for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response (CCOUC).
