Cycle clinics and Cycle Security marking are offered free of charge to all University staff and students. At the cycle clinics, mechanics from Taylored Cycles can give your bike a free tune-up and carry out basic repairs. When your bicycle is security marked, it is permanently marked with a unique code on a tamper proof sticker and a bike register sticker. You will be given your bike register number and a link to an online form which you will need to fill in with your details. The University will then arrange for these to be uploaded onto the BikeRegister database. This database is checked by the police in the event that a bike that has been security marked is reported to them as stolen. You can also get your bicycle security marked for free on request by the University Police Officer at Royal Fort Lodge. Please email the University Police Officer to arrange a mutually convenint time. If you would like to receive a reminder the day before the clinic and cycle security marking, please sign up to our University Bicycle Users Group.
