Residential Facilities car parking policy

Demand for car parking spaces at the residences exceed the number of spaces available, a situation which is particularly acute during term time. Therefore parking controls and restrictions have been implemented to manage the limited supply of car parking spaces and also to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Residential car parks, whilst ensuring equity and fairness.

Parking in Residential car parks is managed by Residential Facilities.  Please refer to page 4 of the Car Parking At Residential Facilities Managed Car Parks document for details of the car parks covered by the policy.

The Policy does not apply in partnership or nomination schemes where RHS does not manage or control the parking spaces or in car parks that are contained within the Precinct car parking policy.

Bristol's Clean Air Zone

Bristol's Clean Air Zone (CAZ) came into force on Monday 28 November 2022. Visit the CAZ page for advice on how the CAZ might affect your commuting and other private car journeys, and the exemptions and other support available from the council.

Users of university car parks on Clifton campus should pay special attention as the alignment of the CAZ boundary means daily charges will apply to non-compliant vehicles using some car parks e.g. Old Park Hill, but not others (subject to the access route taken).
