Visit days 2018
Experience a day as a University of Bristol student

Our visit days for offer holders help you get a feel for student life in Bristol and a detailed insight into your course. During your visit day you can meet staff and current students, explore the campus and spend time in your department. Look around, ask questions and gather the information you need to decide if Bristol is right for you.

How to book your place

If you receive an offer of a place to study on an undergraduate course at the University of Bristol, we will invite you to attend a visit day. You will receive your invitation via email shortly after you have received your offer.

Visit days take place in the autumn and spring and have now concluded for applicants intending to join us in September 2018.

Visit Open days and visits for other ways to visit the University in person or online.

Your visit day

The morning session is a flexible programme of events on our main campus. These focus on important aspects of student life such as finance, study skills and accommodation.

You will spend the afternoon exploring your department and your degree through a tailored programme of talks, tours and practical sessions.

Attending your visit day

Bristol is a compact city, and our main campus is easily accessible from the city’s main bus and train stations. Our maps and travel information will help you find your way. Find out more about our travel bursaries, accessibility and free bus transport on the day.

Attending your visit day

I visited the city on multiple occasions, drawing up pros and cons and poring through the prospectus. At the end of the day, Bristol just felt right. The city is beautiful, the University is close together but not a campus, and the course was amazing.
