Course summary

This four-year degree is similar to BSc Cellular and Molecular Medicine but will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience of cellular and molecular medicine in commercial or government research as an employee during your third year. This may be in a biotech or pharmaceutical company, or a research institute in the UK or abroad.

Entry to the Study in Industry course is by transfer after you have secured a placement. Applications are usually made during your second year.

Our students are very well equipped to secure placements, in part because of their extensive practical experience during the first and second years. Our eBiolabs online resources are available to help you prepare for practical laboratory sessions.

You will have the opportunity to develop your employability skills in the Biomedical Research, Employability and Enterprise Skills unit in the second year.
