Black Bristol Scholarship Programme
This programme of scholarships supports Black students to study in higher education.
This programme of scholarships is supporting around 130 Black students over the course of four years.
Support is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications.
From 2021/22 through 2024/25 the programme offers a total of more than £1million in scholarships.
Eligible applicants will have one of the following categories of ethnicity:
- Black African
- Black Caribbean
- Black Other
- Mixed – White and Black Caribbean
- Mixed – White and Black African
- Other mixed background (to include Black African, Black Caribbean or Black Other)

Black Futures Scholarships
These scholarships are for Black UK applicants, towards your first year of undergraduate study and employability opportunities.
Postgraduate scholarships

Black Bristol Master’s Scholarships
There are three scholarships available and applications are accepted through the Bristol Masters Scholarship's application process.

Black Bristol PGCE Scholarships
Black UK applicants can apply for a scholarship towards the cost of undertaking a PGCE course.

Opportunity Bristol: Widening Participation in PGR Programmes
These bursaries provide fee, stipend and programme cost support for UK-domiciled, home fee-paying Black applicants undertaking research-related Master's programmes.

Black teachers in the UK can apply for a scholarship to cover fees on this MA programme.
