Innovation

The University of Bristol has a great track record of producing talented entrepreneurs and start-up companies.

We have close links with Science Creates – a deep tech incubator – where many researchers from the University of Bristol have gone on to start innovative companies.

The University is also a key partner, alongside Bristol City Council and the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), in the Engine Shed – a hub where business, entrepreneurs, academics and social innovators collaborate.

If you've got an idea for turning your science into a business then get in touch. We can help you in making the right contacts and accessing the resources you might need to turn your ideas into a commercial success.

Watch the video below to see how some of our staff and students have turned their research into real-world products, whether by starting their own spin-out company or helping an established business solve a specific problem.
