Access to Bristol (Year 12 and 13)

Physics has a stream on the Access to Bristol programme. Please find out more here.

Physics in the box

A pilot project currently in progress, designed to supply local primary schools with resource boxes and worksheets to support teaching physics at KS2.

Quantum in the Summer

Each year members of the Centre for Quantum Photonics hold a week long summer school based on the quantum phenomena and the power of light. Aimed at students aged 16+ this free event includes lectures and demonstrations from our researchers on a variety of different topics. School speakers

We have current PhD students who can deliver a talk/workshop/assembly in person (for local schools) or virtually. We also have academics who can give talks on a variety of topics. Please contact: science-outreach@bristol.ac.uk

Space workshop

Coming soon (for local schools only) – an interactive year 5 workshop based on exoplanets. This links to the year 5 curriculum objectives on space.

Stem UP

A programme for year 12 and students completing an Access to HE course. This is a multidisciplinary programme, giving participants further insight into studying and working within STEM. Please find out more here.
