Request a change to your application

You can request changes to:

• change your course
• defer your start date
• un-defer your start date.

You can request changes to your application via your applicant dashboard. Alternatively, you can email us at bristol-results@bristol.ac.uk with your UCAS ID.

Changing your course

We cannot guarantee that we will be able to approve the change that you have requested but our Admissions Team will consider your request carefully.

We will process your request as soon as we can and notify you of the outcome by email. You will also see any change made on UCAS Hub.

We will not be able to reverse any change you request.

Defer or un-defer your start date

You can request to defer your start date to 2024 or un-defer to 2023. All deferral applications will be reviewed by our Admissions team and you will be notified of the outcome by email.

Getting released into Clearing

If you are holding an unconditional firm place at Bristol and would like to decline your firm place and be released into Clearing, you can do this via UCAS Hub. Once you are released into Clearing you cannot take your place at Bristol back again.

If Bristol is your insurance choice and you have been placed at your firm choice, your contract is with them and we cannot release you into Clearing. You will need to contact your firm choice university and ask them to release you into Clearing.

Withdraw your UCAS application

If you would like to withdraw your UCAS application entirely and you don't want to take up any place or apply through Clearing, you must contact UCAS directly on one of the following numbers:
