General Practice Career Progression Fellowships 2019

16 January 2019

School for Primary Care Research - Increasing the evidence base for primary care practice

Applications are invited for a 12 to 24-month part-time award for general practitioners with a strong academic record and a commitment to a career in academic primary care.

Fellows can be based in any of the nine universities within the School for Primary Care Research: Bristol (Centre for Academic Primary Care), Cambridge, Keele, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Oxford, Southampton and University College London.

Applicants must be qualified general practitioners. General practice trainees can apply but funding will not be granted until Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) is awarded. Fellowships will normally be taken up in August 2019.

Remuneration, for those applicants that have completed their CCT, will normally be between £64,789 and £73,841 whole time equivalent (WTE). It is anticipated that most fellowships will be undertaken at 0.5 WTE.
