'Effective Successful Happy Academic' workshops in qualitative research methods and academic workplace skills

3 April 2019

This two-day international meeting will be held at Engineers’ House in Bristol on 3-4 June. It will be of interest to academics from any discipline and at different stages of their careers. Attendees can register for one or both days.

Workshops will be led by internationally leading experts.

Day one: Qualitative research methods workshops on qualitative systematic reviews, critical realism and evaluation, data analysis and methodological rigour.

Day two: Skill development workshops on effective, productive ways of working within academia.

Presenters include Alex Clark and Bailey Sousa, who are internationally known for their engaging, interactive and informative workshops, and who co-authored the highly rated book ‘How to be a Happy Academic’.

Workshop numbers will be limited to ensure they meet attendees’ needs, and to allow time for discussion, reflection and questions.

The meeting is being organised by Dr Katrina Turner, Joint-Head of the Centre for Academic Primary Care, University of Bristol.

This event is being delivered in partnership with the Bristol Medical School, NIHR Bristol Biomedical Research Centre and The Effective Successful Happy Academic.
