Current and former BCFN MSc students publish papers
16 September 2020
Congratulations to Nanoscience and Functional Nanomaterials MSc student Xiayi Liu and former student Alex van Teijlingen who have both recently published papers based on their dissertation projects.
Alex, who graduated in 2019 and is currently doing a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde, published the results of his dissertation project with Drs Simon Hall and Sean Davis (both in the School of Chemistry) as "Size-dependent melting point depression of nickel nanoparticles," in the June 2020 issue of Nanoscale Advances (doi: 10.1039/D0NA00153H).
Xiayi is currently completing her dissertation project on antimicrobial nanoscale surfaces in the group of Prof. Bo Su in the Bristol Dental School but has already contributed to a review paper from the group, "Protruding Nanostructured Surfaces for Antimicrobial and Osteogenic Titanium Implants," published in the August issue of Coatings (doi: 10.3390/coatings10080756).
