Postgraduate students

Our open days are primarily for undergraduates, though some visitors may be interested in further study at postgraduate level. University representatives will be on hand at the exhibition in the Wills Memorial Building to discuss postgraduate opportunities.

Prospective postgraduates are encouraged to consult our postgraduate visits and open days information for details of any department and school open events which will be tailored to visitors interested in postgraduate study.

We offer a range of taught qualifications and research opportunities across our six faculties:

  • Arts
  • Biomedical Sciences
  • Engineering
  • Health Sciences
  • Science
  • Social Sciences and Law.

Most of these are Masters degrees and PhDs, and many are offered on a part-time basis.

The University of Bristol is an acknowledged leader in postgraduate education, with over a third of our student body studying for a postgraduate qualification. Consistently rated as one of the best research-based universities in the UK, we are international in focus and a member of the Worldwide Universities Network.

Whatever your interests, if you have an enquiring mind and a passion for your subject, we want to hear from you. By studying at the University of Bristol, you will be working alongside acknowledged leaders in their academic fields.

Postgraduate study

I chose Bristol for its international reputation and the facilities and career support it offers. It gives students a chance to open up and try new things. As a city, it is very colourful and exciting with a lot to offer, from museums and galleries to wonderful caf├ęs and tea-rooms - a great mix of the best of modern and vintage.
