Bristol’s Head of Procurement achieves sector’s highest accolade

16 March 2017

Anj Cooke, Head of Procurement in Finance Services, has been made a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (FCIPS).

Fellowship recognises an outstanding level of achievement, knowledge and experience in procurement and supply. It is the highest grade of membership and a globally recognised accolade of professional standing and reputation within procurement. In the HE sector, there are only a handful of FCIPS professionals.

Anj Cooke has been a professionally qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply since 1997. To gain Fellowship status, she had to provide evidence of her long-standing commitment to the procurement profession and the successes across her career.

Anj has also published articles and delivered presentations which have contributed to and developed the procurement profession.

On receiving the award, Anj said: "This is an amazing achievement not only for me, but also for my procurement team here at the University of Bristol who are an instrumental part of this achievement.

“I am very proud to have reached the top in my profession and I have so many people to thank, including those whom I have managed and those who in turn have managed me. All of these people have helped me to be where I am today. I would like to use this accolade to help others in my profession grow and develop to reach their full potential."
