Duke of York visits SETsquared Bristol

(l-r): Simon Chambers and Alexandru Constantin from start-up company Mobile Minds, with Professor Hugh Brady and HRH the Duke of York at the Engine Shed event Jon Craig

28 September 2015

SETsquared, the partnership between the universities of Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey, hosted a selection event for Pitch@Palace at Bristol’s Engine Shed earlier this month.

SETsquared collaborates every year with Pitch@Palace, an initiative founded by HRH The Duke of York, KG. This year’s events focus on the Internet of Things and Smart Cities.

The University’s Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Hugh Brady, accompanied the Duke of York on a tour of SETsquared companies, including YellowDog, which was one of the day’s winners. YellowDog, along with other South West start-ups Wriggle and Altitude Tech, will attend the Pitch@Palace Bootcamp in London next month, when they will present to a panel of judges. The judges will then select the companies who present at Pitch@Palace 4.0 at St James’s Palace in November.
