Several schools at the University have received Athena SWAN awards, raising Bristol’s total to 14 schools and departments recognised by the scheme.
The awards acknowledge progress made in advancing the representation of women in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine.
The awards from the April 2015 round are:
- School of Earth Sciences – Bronze Award
- School of Chemistry – Bronze Award
- School of Veterinary Sciences – Bronze Award
- School of Clinical Sciences – Silver Award
The University as a whole had its Bronze Award renewed and is working towards a Silver level submission in November 2016.
