The University opens a window onto its diverse and thriving postgraduate research programmes on Thursday 12 November, for anyone considering a research degree at Bristol.

At the Postgraduate Research Open Day, in the Great Hall of the Wills Memorial Building from 3:30 to 6pm, current research students, academics and professional services staff from across the University will be on hand to answer questions on any aspect of postgraduate research at Bristol, from facilities and funding options to what it’s like to live and work in Bristol.

The event, which is open to students from Bristol and elsewhere, offers a major opportunity for those interested in pursuing postgraduate research to explore what it’s like to be part of a vibrant research community.

Professor Nishan Canagarajah, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research, said: ‘I am delighted to see this Postgraduate Open Day taking place, and very proud to see the full range of exciting world-class postgraduate research opportunities that are available at Bristol.'

Dr Terry McMaster, Director of the Bristol Doctoral College, said: ‘The Bristol Doctoral College has worked closely with the faculties, schools and Doctoral Training Centres and Partnerships to give final-year undergraduates and Masters students this great chance to explore their Bristol research options.’
