Bristol University's Public Programmes Office is offering learners a wealth of possibilities in part-time or short courses running next year. Whether it's to stimulate a new leisure interest, satisfy an old one or boost career prospects through vocational study, there's something to suit everyone.

Over 400 accredited and non-accredited courses are available, including the opportunity to study part-time to undergraduate certificate, diploma and degree level. The University is also offering a large number of part-time postgraduate awards.

New courses running include 'Visions and nightmares: the art of war', 'The art of madness', 'Working with nature in the garden', 'Theatre summer school', 'The birthplace of geology', 'The squared circle: an international history of wrestling', 'Christina Rossetti', 'Personalities and politics: Winston Churchill', 'Negotiation skills: art and practice' and 'Maoritanga: aspects of Maori religion and culture'.

Stewart Mossman, the Marketing and Publicity Officer for Bristol University's Public Programmes Office, said: 'There is a continuing demand from the public for courses of this kind. Whatever your background and whether or not you have studied as an adult before, we hope you will join our thriving community of learners.'
