Imogen Triner

Instrument: Oboe

Imogen Triner studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Neil Black and Gordon Hunt, where she won many of the major prizes, and continued her studies with the Berlin Philharmonic’s solo oboist, Lothar Koch.

Imogen Triner is one of Britain’s foremost oboe soloists and performances have included concertos with the Tivoli Festival Symphony Orchestra in Denmark, Iceland Symphony Orchestra, Turku Philharmonic and Kuopio Symphony Orchestras, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra in Norway, Kansas Chamber Orchestra, National Italian Symphony Orchestra, Belgian National Radio and Television Orchestra, Norkoping Chamber Orchestra in Sweden and many chamber orchestras in the UK. She has played concertos on many CDs.

As a chamber musician Imogen has performed recitals in London and in festivals throughout the UK. She has toured Scandinavia, America and Japan as a recitalist, giving master classes, and with her Oboe Quartet - oboeworks. Oboeworks has recorded 2 CDs including works written especially for Imogen. She performs with chamber groups including Quorum, freelances and regularly plays for recording sessions.
