Back in late 2018, our historic Victoria Rooms (home of the department of music) became the site of a video shoot for Future Dub Orchestra’s latest song “Revolution - Evolution.” It was an ambitious undertaking, with a number of our orchestral and jazz musicians, a full choir, and recorded by studio manager Jonathan Scott and an array of student recording assistants. The music video premiered this month, and can be viewed below:
Senior Lecturer Justin Williams said, “This shoot was a perfect opportunity for the University’s collaboration with the wider community, creating more visibility for what happens inside this iconic building, and gives our students the transferable skills and experience they need for their professional lives.”
FDO leader Theo Clarke said this about the shoot: “It was a truly wonderful experience and really impressed with the professional approach of everyone involved with so much talent. The musicianship was excellent, but most of all working with a truly lovely group of people was the most rewarding.”
