| Areas of expertise | As part of a collaboration between the laboratories of Dek Woolfson and Paula Booth, my current work is on the development of self-assembled synthetic cytoskeletons. Using a bottom-up approach, we are developing a set of independently folded peptide components that can be connected together in such a way as to produce highly ordered and regular 3D matrices that mimic many aspects of the natural cytoskeleton. |
