| Areas of expertise | I carry out research in computer vision and image processing: designing algorithms to automatically extract information from digital images and video. My areas of expertise are feature extraction, depth from stereo, image and video compression, motion analysis and 3-D extraction techniques. Our current research focuses on novel methods for analysing and extracting motion from video, including visual tracking, depth estimation and view interpolation. The work has applications in media, leisure, manufacturing and medical informatics. |
