I qualified from Imperial School of Medicine (formerly St. Mary's Hospital Medical School) in 1998 and then moved to the South West to complete my postgraduate medical training. Prior to commencing specialist training in Cardiology I undertook a period of research studying novel treatment strategies to prevent re-narrowing of stented coronaries and bypass grafts, culminating in the award of an MD. My specialist training was undertaken in the South West and an international interventional fellowship was completed in the world renowned Greenlane Cardiovascular Unit in Auckland, New Zealand.

I was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist at the Bristol Heart Institute in 2010. My specialist interests include coronary intervention, management of coronary artery disease and research into the causes and treatment of acute coronary syndromes (heart attacks).

I am fully trained in all aspects of general cardiology.
