Areas of expertise I work on ancient philosophy (especially Plato and Aristotle), metaethics, ethics, and the philosophy of mind.

My published work thus far has primarily focused on Aristotle's moral philosophy and philosophical psychology. I am also interested in aesthetics and certain topics in metaphysics.

I have published two books: a monograph, 'Aristotle on Desire', with Cambridge University Press (2012), and an edited book (co-edited with Michael Pakaluk), 'Moral Psychology and Human Action in Aristotle', with Oxford University Press (2011). I am currently at work on a third, in which I aim to develop an Aristotelian position in metaethics.
