| Areas of expertise | I am a Royal Society University Research Fellow independent researcher. I tackle key outstanding questions in condensed matter by direct visualisation of local phenomena: in particular, self-assembly, the glass transition, and structural transitions such as melting and freezing. I use a combination of experimental and computer simulation techniques, predominantly real space analysis and optical tweezers, combined with our unique analysis methodology. |
