| Areas of expertise | I am a cultural and political sociologist. My current current research is focussed on the various cultural factors (such as narrative, coding, symbolisation, myth, ritual, performance, etc.) that shape political life. I am interested in how political actors are able to change public meanings, and how this in turn influences their capacity to mobilise political power. More particularly, I'm interested in how power is performed by both individuals and collectives, dominant and dominated, actors. |
