Gale Digital Scholar Lab seminar
Lecture Room 8 21 Woodland Road
Gale Digital Scholar Lab enables researchers to find and interpret content from across a wide range of resources provided by Gale. It allows original source documents to be viewed alongside OCR text versions, and their contents to be analysed using data mining technology. Specialists at Gale have kindly agreed to run a seminar during which they will outline how to use Gale Digital Scholar Lab.
The seminar will be split into two parts. If you are not familiar with Gale Digital Scholar Lab, the first section will explain what it is and how it works. This will run from 1.30pm to approximately 3pm. The second section will run from 3.15pm to 4.15pm and will be a discussion about how to apply Gale Digital Scholar Lab to study and research projects. You are welcome to attend the whole event or either section.
Access to Gale Digital Scholar Lab is provided by the Library. It can be used with Archives of Sexuality and Gender, Archives Unbound, Eighteenth Century Collections Online and a wide range of newspaper archives provided by Gale.
Please note that this seminar is aimed at academic staff and research students at the University of Bristol.
