Happy Spring Break! This spring vacation period, the libraries will be here to support your studying. You can continue to get help by using library chat or contacting us directly.

Vacation loans

  • All eligible items borrowed from Wednesday 13 March will be due back at the earliest on Wednesday 17th April
  • Any eligible items you currently have on loan will update to a due date of Wednesday 17 April when they next automatically renew

Research shows that being in green spaces can reduce anxiety, improve the immune system, and that regular contact with nature promotes better mental health.

So if you're planning on studying with us over the Spring Vacation why not take your breaks in the Royal Fort Gardens? From the Arts and Social Sciences Library it is only a 3 minute walk and from Wills Memorial it is 5 minutes!

Which Libraries and Study Spaces are open?

On Friday 29 March, Monday 1 April and Tuesday 2 April, some libraries and study centres will be closed due to the Spring Bank Holidays and the University closure day on the Tuesday.

Libraries open as usual:

Beacon House is also open as usual

Libraries that will be closed: Physics, Chemistry, Queens, Education, Medical and Veterinary Sciences.

Study Spaces that will be closed: Senate House, Hawhtorns, and Grace Reeves.
