Mr Nikhil Roy, Programme Development Director at Penal Reform International, will give a talk on Global Trends and Challenges in Penal Reform at 13:00 on Wednesday 22 October in room 3.32, 3rd floor, Wills Memorial Building.

Synopsis: Penal Reform International (PRI) is an independent non-governmental organisation that develops and promotes fair, effective and proportionate responses to criminal justice problems worldwide. Nikhil Roy, Programme Development Director at PRI, will describe how the organisation works to effect change in the use and practice of imprisonment and will consider some current trends and future challenges in the use and reform of penitentiary systems worldwide.
