UoB host academics

The University of Bristol is home to a fantastic cohort of researchers at all career stages. Among our ranks we have multiple Fellows of the Academy of Social Sciences, Academy of Medical Sciences, British Academy, Royal Academy of Engineering, Royal Society and National Academy of Sciences, as well as a strong and growing reputation for interdisciplinary working.

Most prospective Visiting Professors and Researchers will therefore have already identified the University of Bristol academic(s) with whom they would like to collaborate. If, however, you are interested in working with University of Bristol academics but do not yet have anyone in mind the below list may help you to identify a suitable host. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of all potential hosts; it simply represents those who have approached us with a specific research interest that they are actively seeking partners for.

Alternatively if you have not yet identified a host and would like to register your interest in applying for either the Bristol Benjamin Meaker Distinguished Visiting Professorship or Bristol ‘Next Generation’ Visiting Researcher Programme please do get in touch, and we can add your details to our internal database. This database is only accessible to University of Bristol staff via our intranet pages.

Bristol hosts

There are currently no University of Bristol hosts registered with us; however, many of our researchers would be receptive to collaboration opportunities so please do feel free to get in touch via ird-office@bristol.ac.uk to discuss your research and partnership aspirations.

If you are a UoB staff member who would like to register as an academic host, please also get in touch via  ird-office@bristol.ac.uk.
