Professor Lianzhen He
works at the School of International Studies, Zhejiang University, China.

Professor He's main research interests are language testing, corpus linguistics and discourse analysis. She earned her Master's degree from the University of Birmingham (1992) and her PhD in language testing from Guangdong Foreign Studies University, China (1998). She was a senior visiting scholar at University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2004 and local Chair of the annual conference of International Language Testing Association - Language Testing Research Colloquium (LTRC) held at Zhejiang University (2008)

Professor He has directed more than 10 large-scale research projects on language tests. Professor He is also Deputy Director of the National Advisory Board for College Foreign Language Teaching of the Ministry of Education.

Professor He has published widely in applied linguistics and language testing, including 52 English textbooks which are used by over 100 Chinese universities (over 1 million copies have been sold), a monograph on cognitive computer adaptive language tests (2004) and a number of journal articles on language assessment including " The Influence of Task Complexity, Task Difficulty and Proficiency Level on Chinese Learners' Accuracy in Performance" and "Development of a Translation Database based on Chinese-English Parallel Corpus".
