Academic contacts for going abroad

Contacts in your department can offer you academic support before, during and after your work or study placement abroad.

Every department offering a year or semester abroad has a Study Abroad Academic Director (SAAD) or Language Coordinator for the School of Modern Languages.

They can advise you on:

  • academic requirements to go abroad
  • units you can or cannot study abroad
  • approving your learning agreement which includes the units you intend to study while you are abroad

Every department offering a year in industry or a year with industrial experience has a Year in Industry Coordinator. Most industry placements are in the UK, if you want to go overseas you can explore this with your Year in Industry Coordinator.

Some departments have additional contacts who can also support you.
