The University of Bristol is one of the leading centres of high quality and high impact social science research in the UK.
The faculty offers excellent support for research and research-related activities, and actively cultivates an inter-school, inter-disciplinary ethos. There are numerous research centres, groups and clusters operating at both school and faculty levels.
The excellence of Bristol's social science research was confirmed by REF 2014. Seven of Bristol's nine social sciences submissions were ranked in the top ten on raw GPA by Times Higher Education; two were ranked first. When research intensity was taken into account, the faculty ranked second in the country.
