Historic garden tours

The University of Bristol is fortunate to own numerous historic gardens linked to significant buildings. Thanks to generous benefactors' bequests and the hard work of our Gardens and Grounds Teams, there's an impressive collection of stunning gardens to explore. Although most of these gardens are near Halls of Residence and not open to the public, we're actively working to raise awareness through a number of scheduled guided tours, showcasing these magnificent places.

Public tours usually run from April to September throughout the year. Book your place and discover what lies behind the garden gate.

Scheduled historic garden tours for the public are currently paused for 2024. We recognise the disappointment this news may bring to those who were planning to return or enjoy a first visit to our gardens in 2024.  We look forward to welcoming you back into the garden and on the tours as soon as possible.
