School of Humanities to Sponsor Bristol Short Story Prize

The School of Humanities will sponsor the 2020 Bristol Short Story Prize, an international writing competition based in the city which aims to publish great short stories and to promote those stories and their writers.
Sitting on the four-member judging panel will be Billy Kahora, Lecture in Creative and Professional Writing within the Department of English at the University of Bristol. Billy was shortlisted for the Caine Prize for African Literature in 2012 and 2014; his debut short story collection The Cape Cod Bicycle War and Other Stories was published in 2019.
