Open Day demonstrates the excitement and industrial relevance of electrical and electronic engineering
As part of the University of Bristol's Open Day, prospective electrical and electronic engineering students viewed our world-class labs and facilities, saw example student projects and discussed all aspects of the programme with academic staff and current students. Two talks were provided that focused on the societal impact of electrical and electronic engineering and the unique student experience offered at Bristol.
Demonstrations included a 'green' driving simulator (to demonstrate the benefits of electric vehicles), a magnetic gearbox demo (a final-year student project), and an autonomous vehicle tracking system using 3D stereo imaging (a final-year group project).
